Autoparts from Spain at Automechanika Istanbul 2023

Internationalisation is a priority lever for the development and growth of Spanish automotive suppliers. In a globalised context, it is essential as part of a company's strategy to be present and visible at the main international business meetings in terms of brand positioning and market diversification.

Several automotive suppliers from the Autoparts From Spain initiative will be attending the Automechanika Istanbul (Turkey) trade fair, which will be held from 8 to 11 June 2023, with the aim of showcasing their extensive catalogue of products and their most advanced solutions.

Automechanika Istanbul is considered the leading trade fair in the aftermarket sector for the markets of Turkey, Eastern Europe and its areas of influence (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Bulgaria, Romania...). In the 2022 edition, the event had a total of 825 exhibitors from 28 countries, and a volume of visitors of 48,354 (similar figures to the pre-Pandemia 2019 stage), of which 28.5% were of foreign origin, coming from 141 countries.

Turkey was the 13th largest vehicle manufacturer in the world in 2021 and the 5th largest in Europe, with 74% of its production destined for export.  The automotive industry is one of the main industries of the Turkish economy, with 13 major vehicle manufacturers and a production capacity of more than 2 million vehicle units. The vehicle fleet exceeds 25.2 million units, of which approx. 54.3% are passenger cars.

Talosa, AMC and Icer Brakes are the Spanish automotive suppliers that form part of the Autoparts from Spain initiative and will be present at the fair

Its product portfolio includes passenger car and van brake pads, commercial vehicle brake pads, brake discs, pre-assembled rear kits, parking brake kits, brake linings, and other friction products. In addition, the company has recently launched a line of brake pads specifically for electric vehicles, and a range of long-life brake pads for delivery vehicles.
