Autoparts from Spain’s members will exhibit their innovation results regarding sustainable-and-connected electric mobility

Autoparts from Spain, Initiative promoted by Sernauto and ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones will be present at this world-reference fair for the component sector with a handful (+20) of their brands.

Spanish equipment and component suppliers will exhibit their results on innovation efforts oriented to connected-and-sustainable electric mobility.

Those interested in learning more about the Spanish offer can now schedule an in-fair personal meeting.

 Autoparts from Spain, platform supporting the internationalization of Spanish automotive suppliers which is also empowered by Sernauto and ICEX España, Exportaciones e Inversiones will be present at Automechanika Frankfurt from the 13th to 17th September with more than 20 Spanish brands belonging to the initiative.

“This is a global-reference fair for the post-sale world, the best showcase to our new products at international scale besides a chance to strengthen our business relations” highlights José Portilla, General Director of Sernauto, the Spanish Association of Automotive suppliers.
In this sense, Mª Begoña Llamazares -Sernauto’s market responsible and Autoparts from Spain’s platform coordinator- underlines the importance of Spanish brands being present at the Frankfurt fair since the European Union is the main commercial partner for the Spanish industry of components with 67.1% market share (according to the last 2022 data gathered by Sernauto).

“During the fair, companies belonging to Autoparts from Spain will showcase their last efforts in innovation and new trends of the automotive sector such as the electric and connected mobility”, explains Llamazares, which also underlines that those interested can also learn about the Spanish offer in deep by scheduling meetings and appointments during Automechanika Frankfurt.

All these companies are characterized by a top-level of internationalization and by how foreign markets are relevant for their billing, such markets have allowed the Spanish component industry to mild and compensate the impact from latest disruptions we had faced. Concretely, between January and April 2022 Spanish exports of automotive components and equipment have reached €7,152 million which is a +4.7% inter-annual rate compared with 2021, figures which represent a slight difference of -2.8% compared with the pre-pandemic period. 

In this sense, Mª Begoña Llamazares states that “the evolution of a Spanish exports of automotive components and equipment will depend greatly on the behavior of the main European markets”. It must be said as well that in “these moments the sector is facing a dynamic of inflationary pressures and supply-chain disruptions with its corresponding impact to the growth forecast for this edition.
