Autoparts From Spain strengthens its role as a key internationalisation platform in 2025

Autoparts From Spain closed 2025 by consolidating its position as a strategic platform for the internationalisation of Spanish automotive components suppliers. In a context marked by slowing demand in Europe and the need to diversify export destinations, the initiative has reinforced its role as a reference showcase for international buyers and distributors interested in the Spanish automotive components offering.

Driven by SERNAUTO, in collaboration with ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, the platform has maintained its focus on key international markets, supporting companies in the sector in their international growth strategies and strengthening their visibility in an increasingly competitive environment..

Internationalisation of the Spanish automotive components sector

Sector data confirm the importance of international markets as one of the main growth drivers for the Spanish automotive components industry. In 2024, the last closed financial year, the sector reached a turnover of €41.238 billion, of which €25.065 billion came from exports, representing 60% of total turnover. Spanish automotive components are currently present in more than 170 countries, with the European Union as the main destination, alongside notable growth in markets such as the United States, Morocco, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil and South Korea.

In this context, Autoparts From Spain has established itself as the leading digital showcase for the Spanish automotive components offering, facilitating access for international manufacturers and distributors to a broad and diverse catalogue of Spanish companies with strong industrial, technological and global capabilities. Throughout 2025, the platform has supported sector companies in their internationalisation strategies, reinforcing their visibility and positioning in global markets.

Presence at key international trade fairs

Participation in international trade fairs has been one of the key pillars of Autoparts From Spain’s activity in 2025, both nationally and internationally. In Spain, Motortec 2025, held at IFEMA Madrid, once again consolidated its position as a must-attend event for the aftermarket sector, achieving record participation figures: more than 600 exhibiting companies and around 65,000 professional visitors, with a strong international presence that reinforced the fair’s role as a showcase for the Spanish aftermarket industry.

At international level, Autoparts From Spain was present at some of the most relevant trade fairs on the global calendar. At Automechanika Istanbul 2025, the platform strengthened the visibility of Spanish suppliers in Turkey, one of the main non-EU destinations for Spanish automotive components.

At Equip Auto Paris 2025, a key event for the French market and French-speaking countries, Spanish participation helped to strengthen business relationships in one of the sector’s main export markets and to generate high-value contacts within the aftermarket.

Trade fair activity was completed with participation in Automechanika Shanghai 2025, one of the world’s largest automotive industry gatherings, which was key to expanding the visibility of the Spanish offering in Asia, and Automechanika Dubai 2025, the reference event for the Middle East, reinforcing the positioning of Spanish suppliers in high-growth markets such as the Gulf countries, Africa and Southeast Asia.

Digital visibility and international outlook

Throughout 2025, Autoparts From Spain also carried out continuous work in sector information dissemination and strategic positioning, publishing data on sector performance, economic forecasts and market-specific analyses, with particular focus on key countries such as Germany and France. This activity has contributed to strengthening the platform’s role as a reference source for companies, buyers and international distributors.

The platform’s growth has also been reflected in its digital channels. Over the year, Autoparts From Spain surpassed 106,000 new users on its website, with more than 270,000 page views, and recorded nearly 4,000 interactions on social media. The online community grew to over 4,300 followers, generating more than 3,000 visits to brand profile pages from social media and further enhancing the online visibility of participating companies.

According to Mª Begoña Llamazares, markets manager at SERNAUTO and spokesperson for Autoparts From Spain, “throughout 2025 the platform has continued to support companies in their internationalisation strategies, with an active presence at key trade fairs and ongoing visibility efforts in international markets”. She adds that “Autoparts From Spain has become a key tool for showcasing the industrial, technological and export capabilities of Spanish suppliers at a time when internationalisation remains a priority for the sector”.

Looking ahead to 2026, Autoparts From Spain will continue working to expand its international reach, support companies in new markets and further position the Spanish automotive components industry as a strategic partner in the transition towards more sustainable, digital and safe mobility.
