From September 10th to 14th, Automechanika Frankfurt consolidated itself again as the referential international fair for the automotive after-sale. With this important appointment in mind, SERNAUTO (Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers) was present again on the sector’s behalf with the objective of bringing visibility and notoriety to the Spanish offer of automotive suppliers at international markets and position the Spanish branding of automotive components. The association took also advantage of this occasion to promote the digital platform ‘Autoparts from Spain’ and walk together with all attending brands belonging to this initiative.
According to Mª Begoña Llamazares spokesperson of the Autoparts From Spain initiative, “Automechanika Frankfurt 2024 represented a great opportunity for the Spanish after-sale sector to showcase its plan for innovation and internationalization and promote its visibility as a global offer of reference. Moreover, the large attendance of Spanish suppliers in this edition reflects the impact foreign commerce represents on our industry and the dynamism of working into very competitive environment”.
Some of the Spanish companies that formed part of the Spanish Group Pavilion at the recent fair emphasised that ‘the recovery of the fair with a continuous flow of quality contacts has been a success’, according to Autofren Seinsa.
Olipes, for its part, underlined the great interest in its EV-fluids and advanced technological solutions, while Amadeo Marti Carbonell highlighted the success in the presentation of new cylinder heads for stationary engines and its capacity to attract a greater number of visitors compared to previous editions. In a similar vein, FAE also saw its commercial relations strengthened with the presentation of its new Gestión Motor catalogue.
Lizarte, for its part, highlights its satisfaction with the distribution agreement reached with the Polish company Dr. Motor. Although visitor traffic fell short of initial expectations, Lizarte considers the event to have been a success thanks to the promising business contacts generated during the days of the fair. ‘We are convinced that these new contacts will be key to the development of our expansion in the coming months,’ the brand says.
Enganches Aragon also values its participation in the fair positively despite the lower number of German customers and European manufacturers. The brand reaffirmed its leadership in the development of transport solutions and accessories for automobiles in emerging markets, highlighting a significant interest from Eastern European countries. ‘This edition has been crucial to reinforce our brand image in key markets, despite the logistical challenges we face,’ said the leading manufacturer of towbars for all types of transport.
For its part, Frenkit presented two new products for the repair of brake calipers, designed specifically for racing cars and motorbikes. ‘Both products aroused great interest among the attendees, with a notable increase in the quality of the contacts generated,’ they add.
Finally, DOGA Parts says that the fair exceeded its expectations and its new range of tanks for automotive fluids, electric springs and blowers aroused the interest of visitors. ‘Automechanika 2024 has allowed us to strengthen our global presence, reaching commercial agreements that will boost our expansion into new markets,’ they indicated.
In 2023, exports of Spanish suppliers of Automotion reached a total of €25,140 million which set a new billing record, 10.9% more than last year. Currently, exports represent 60% of billing in the sector which reflects the importance of foreign commerce as a priority lever and growth engine for the Spanish industry of automotive suppliers.
